The Mazza Summer Conference is going virtual! Join us for a three-day virtual and interactive conference full of educational and engaging presentations from some of the top authors and illustrators in the picture book industry. Conference attendees can also choose from daily breakout sessions that are led by in-service teachers and librarians offering techniques for using picture books in fun, educational ways. All presentations and breakout sessions will be recorded via Zoom and then accessible via password to paid attendees for up to 3-months after the conference on a special Mazza virtual conference website.
July 12-14, 2021
Speakers will include Julia Denos, Matthew Forsythe, Sarah Jacoby, Corinna Luyken, April dela Noche Milne, and Hannah Salyer.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions being lifted since initial planning of our virtual conference, we’ve decided to extend an in-person watch opportunity to those who do not feel comfortable using Zoom.
This in-person watch opportunity will take place in the Mazza Museum, with breakout sessions splitting off into separate rooms within the Virginia B. Gardner Fine Arts Pavilion. If you choose this option, you will be watching the conference in the Zoom format on a large screen as a group.
Lunch and snacks will not be offered during this in-person watch opportunity. Limited campus dining is available if you would like to dine on your own.
