Appointment-Only Visits to Begin at University of Findlay’s Mazza Museum

University of Findlay’s Mazza Museum is scheduled to re-open next week with a few changes to the visit guidelines. Due to COVID-19, visitors are being asked to schedule their visit to allow for proper social distancing and sanitization.

“We are so excited to welcome visitors back to the Mazza Museum on a by appointment only basis,” said Karen George, senior director of advancement. Starting on Aug. 12, Mazza visits will be by appointment only, and need to be scheduled by completing the visit request form found on the Mazza Museum website.

“Please give us at least 72 hours advance notice because we must limit the number of guests in order to keep everyone safe while maintaining social distancing,” she explained. “We also want to prevent turning people away if they arrive without an appointment and we do not have openings.”

Upon their confirmed appointment, and after arriving to the Museum, visitors can expect a temperature check with a no-touch thermometer before their 90-minute visit of the Mazza. Masks will be required for the duration of the visit.

Out of an abundance of caution, the Mazza Museum Gift Shop, Havens Resource Center & Library, and White Discovery Loft area will remain temporarily closed to visitors until further notice.

Ben Sapp, director of the Mazza Museum, said, “We are lucky to be a part of the University of Findlay. We all look forward to seeing you soon in a safe and healthy way.  Together, we can define what the world will be after this pandemic.”
