University of Findlay Mazza Museum’s annual Young Artist Workshop will be held in-person July 18-22, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. This annual event gives children an inside look at the fascinating world of picture book art in a fun, exciting way. Instruction is provided by Mazza staff as well as local area teachers and artists.

“Get ready to explore and go wild with your creativity during this year’s Young Artist Workshop!” said Heather Sensel, education manager at the University of Findlay’s Mazza Museum. “The Mazza Museum is excited to give participants a chance to dive into the world of picture books, learn new concepts, and explore their creative side through a variety of engaging activities.”

Participants of the 2022 Young Artist Workshop will take “A Walk on the Wild Side” through a number of new and innovative ways to create art in a fun and exciting environment. An open house art exhibition for family and friends will be held Friday, July 22, 2:30-3:30 p.m.

Young Artist Workshop is open to children in grades 3-5 and 6-8 (as of fall 2022). The cost of attendance is $175 per child, and $150 for children of University of Findlay faculty/staff. Enrollment space is limited and provided on a first come, first served basis. A packed lunch is required.
