How difficult is it to switch majors/minors? 
E-mail the Office of the Registrar with your name, id number and the new major/minor.  If you need to change advisers you will need to complete a change of major/adviser form.  The new adviser needs to sign the form and it should be returned to the Office of the Registrar for processing.

How many credit hours does it take to graduate with a B.A./B.S. from The University of Findlay? 
There are a minimum of 124 semester hours of credit with an overall 2.00 grade point average required for graduation.

What is the first step to be eligible for financial aid? 
File the Free Appliciation for Federal Student Aid (FASFA).  The FAFSA can be picked up at a guidance office or at the financial aid office.  It can also be filed online.  The FAFSA should be filed regardless of income.

Is a meal plan required if I live on campus? 
Yes, all students living in residence halls must have a meal plan.

Does The University of Findlay have cable T.V. in the residence halls?  Yes! We also have computer and phone hookups in every room.

How safe is The University of Findlay campus? 
Very safe!  We provide a well lit campus at night with security cameras strategically located throughout campus.

How do I change my schedule, after I have registered? 
Adding, dropping or changing sections can be done by completing a drop/add form and turning it in at the Registrar's Office.  An advisor's signature is required on all drop/add forms.

See the University Calendar for the particular semester for the last date to withdraw from courses without failure.

Do I need to officially drop out of class, or can I just stop coming? 
Not coming to a class does not constitute dropping the course.  Students who wish to withdraw from a course need to talk with their adviser and go through the Office of the Registrar prior to the withdraw date.

Do I need to bring a computer with me? 
No!  Computer laboratories are located in Egner - Rm.106, Brewer - Rm. 106, and Old Main - Rm. 116, 215 &310. Hours for the various labs.

If a freshman is not in the Honors Program during the fall semester can they be put into it in the spring semester? 
Contact the Honors Program Director to see if you meet the acadmeic requirements.
