Grand Rounds
The University of Findlay hosted a series of three interdisciplinary continuing education activities for health care providers. Phyllis Grauer, Pharm.D., CGP, a clinical assistant professor at The Ohio State College of Pharmacy, offered the first session, “Neuropathic Pain: Pathophysiology, Treatment and Pain Management”.
The event allowed participants to describe the pathophysiology of neuropathic pain, identify underlying etiologies and co-morbidities associated with it; discuss the pharmacologic management; describe the role of non-pharmacologic interventions and discuss proper treatment of patients with neuropathic pain.
The University of Findlay College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education and complies with the Criteria for Quality for continuing pharmacy education programming.
Each knowledge-based activity was approved for 1.0 contact hours or 0.1 continuing education units (CEUs).
