Senior Forum Series Meets Oct. 21 at Senior Center

The fifth session
in The University of Findlay’s Senior Forum, a six-week series of learning
experiences for people age 50 and older, is Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the Hancock
County Senior Center, 339 E. Melrose Ave., Findlay.
Each forum
consists of three informative and entertaining sessions: one in the morning,
one during lunch and one in the afternoon. Participants may choose their own
level of involvement – a single session or a series.
Each session is $5
per person to attend.
A buffet lunch is available for an additional $5 per day.
A complimentary coffee and tea bar is available all day.
The final forum in
the series will take place Wednesday, Oct. 28.
The Oct. 21
program will begin with “Civil War: Close to Home” presented by Tom Boltz of
the Wood County Historical Society, from 10:15 to 11:30 a.m.
The lunch session
from noon to 1 p.m. is “Fitness at the Senior Center” presented by John
Urbanski, director.
The afternoon
session from 1:15 to 2:30 p.m. will be “Winslow Homer and the Big City” with
Marie Louden-Hanes, Ph.D., dean of undergraduate education at UF.
