The family and friends of the late Wayne E. Baltzell recently established the Hospitality Scholarship Endowment Fund at The University of Findlay. Baltzell helped establish the scholarship guidelines prior to his death.
   
The scholarship assists students in the hospitality management program at The University of Findlay.  
   
Baltzell was the kitchen steward and purchasing manager for UF’s hospitality management program from October 2004, until his passing in November 2007. It was a job he loved.
   
Prior to coming to UF, Baltzell had a 43-year career with Marathon Oil Co.
   
Baltzell was in his element in the food area and enjoyed being with and guiding and teaching young people, as he mentored many at both Marathon and the University.
   
This scholarship is awarded to full-time students in any year of study having a 2.75 G.P.A. or better.
