UF Welcomes New Students
Friday, August 14, 2009

On Friday, Aug. 21, The University of Findlay will welcome members of the Class of 2013 as they move into campus residence halls. UF faculty, staff and student volunteers will be ready to help students and their families get moved in.

New Student Orientation will begin at 5 p.m. Friday and continue through the evening of Sunday, Aug. 23.

Saturday orientation activities will include service projects within the community. Groups of new student will disperse into the community to complete a variety of projects at a variety of nonprofit agencies. Painting, cleaning and organizing will be among the projects completed.

Students not only help area agencies but they also meet new people and develop friendships while working together.

The University has a tradition of incorporating service into its learning environment. Earlier this year, UF was named to the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for exemplary service efforts and service to America’s communities.
