The University of Findlay men’s basketball team, ranked first in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) poll, made history on Saturday, March 28, by finishing 36-0 after a 56-53 last second victory over Cal Poly Pomona in the NCAA Division II National Championship. The team returned home to hundreds of supporters, and the excitement on campus continues with the announcement of several honors and awards.

Senior forward Josh Bostic was named the 2009 Division II Bulletin Player of the Year.

Findlay head coach Ron Niekamp was named the 2009 Molten/Division II Bulletin Coach of the Year.

Charlie Ernst, assistant basketball coach, is a semi-finalist for BasketballScoop.com’s “Rising Stars of the Profession” coaching award.

If the shirt, which comes in two styles, does not appear, inventory is currently sold out. Additional orders, as well as a baseball cap and sweatshirt, are expected.
