More than 430 students will graduate from The University of Findlay during fall commencement ceremonies at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, in the Koehler Center on campus.
   
More than 260 graduate degrees will be awarded, and more than 150 undergraduate degrees will be awarded, including approximately 30 bachelor of arts degrees and approximately 120 bachelor of science degrees.
   
Almost 20 associate of arts degrees will be conferred.

Among the UF graduates are 173 international students who will receive master’s degrees and two international students who will receive bachelor’s degrees. Those students represent the countries of India, Nepal, Taiwan, China, Japan, Korea and Venezuela.

Richard Cordray, newly elected attorney general of the state of Ohio, will give the commencement address. In 2008, Cordray received a Financial Services Champion award from the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Government Service Award from NeighborWorks America.

A graduate of the University of Chicago Law School, Cordray clerked for two U.S. Supreme Court justices and has argued six cases in the nation’s highest court. He worked for 20 years in private practice and taught for 15 years at Ohio State University’s Moritz School of Law. Cordray was the state’s first solicitor general and also was a senior adviser to the attorney general. In 2006, Cordray was elected as state treasurer.

The University’s traditional Arch Ceremony will immediately follow commencement at approximately 3:30 p.m. at the Griffith Memorial Arch.
