Applying for Admission
Admission as a first-time, full-time undergraduate student to The University of Findlay requires an earned diploma from an accredited high school in a college preparatory course of study or a GED certificate. The faculty recommends that candidates for admission successfully complete a minimum in the following areas:
In addition, all candidates must submit the results from either the American College Testing Program (ACT) or the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). If you have taken the ACT we require the results of the English, Math, Reading & Science Reasoning sections. The Writing section is optional. If you have taken the SAT, we require the results of the Critical Reading, Math and Writing sections.
One letter of recommendation from a teacher, clergy member, or guidance counselor, and an essay.
Other indicators of academic and personal success such as extra-curricular activities may also be considered.
A campus visit may be required for some candidates. In addition to the criteria listed above, Canadian residents must submit an Affidavit of Financial support, obtain an I-20, and those in which English is not the primary language spoken in the home, may be required to submit of the TOEFL. Students who intend to major in equestrian studies or pre-veterinary medicine are encouraged to complete the application as early as possible, due to limited space available in these programs.
