Accreditations

Undergraduate
The University of Findlay is accredited by:
  • The Higher Learning Commission (formerly North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools);
  • The Ohio State Board of Education;
  • The Council on Social Work Education;
  • The Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education;
  • The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education;
  • The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant;
  • The Joint Review Committee on Educational Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology;
  • The Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education;
  • The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education; and
  • The Applied Science Accreditation Commission (ASAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
UF is authorized to offer A.A., B.A., B.S., M.A., M.S., M.P.T., M.O.T., M.A.T., M.B.A., M.P.A. and D.P.T. programs by the Ohio Board of Regents (OBR).

Graduate
The University of Findlay is approved by OBR and the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) to offer:

  • The Master of Arts in Education (est. 1992);
  • The Master of Business Administration (est. 1993);

  • The Doctor of Physical Therapy (est. 2008).

The traditional and weekend physical therapy programs at UF are both accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), 1111 North Fairfax St., Alexandria, Va. 22314-1488.

The University of Findlay has received candidate status from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) for its Doctor of Pharmacy program. The Doctor of Pharmacy program will be reviewed for full accreditation when the first class graduates in 2010.
